Job Purpose
The Human Resource Officer supports employees and management in HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and managing employee data effectively.
Main Responsibilities of the Job
A) Managerial Responsibilities:
- None
B) Functional Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and placement of employees.
- Maintain employee data in various systems and documentation.
- Manage employee contracts and letters.
- Process employment terminations, including documentation and exit interviews.
- Facilitate staff transfers and ensure necessary documentation is collected.
- Register employees with statutory bodies and manage monthly payments.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through risk assessments and training.
- Monitor staff attendance and working hours, including remote work.
- Process overtime applications and track hours to comply with legal limits.
- Manage employee leave applications and track their usage.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Team Leader.
- Prepare reports on personnel activities.
- Coordinate HR-led company activities and maintain records.
- Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies.
- Administer payroll and provide relevant data.
- Communicate with authorities on employment matters.
- Handle disciplinary procedures in accordance with the law.
- Conduct orientation for new employees.
Minimum Requirements
A) Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
B) Experience:
- No prior experience required.

- All staff members.

- Recruiting agencies.
- Employer associations.
- Government authorities (NSSF, NHIF, OSHA, WCF, etc.).
