Duties and Responsibilities
Interns in the Office of the President will assist with various tasks, including:
- Conducting comprehensive legal research
- Assisting in drafting and proofreading judicial documents
- Preparing reports for the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly
- Analyzing relevant laws, rules, and policies
- Drafting speeches and official correspondence
- Providing support on press and policy matters
- Managing records and other routine functions as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Enrolled in or completed the final academic year of a first university law degree programme (bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
- Enrolled in or completed a graduate law programme (master’s degree or equivalent or higher)
No prior work experience is necessary, but relevant training or education is preferred. Proficiency in standard computer software is required.
Languages
Fluency in English is mandatory. A working knowledge of French, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, or Kinyarwanda is advantageous.
