Job Purpose
The Human Resource Officer offers guidance and support to employees and management on HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and managing employee data according to established procedures.
Main Responsibilities of the Job
A) Managerial Responsibilities:
- None
B) Functional Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and placement of employees.
- Maintain employee data in systems and documentation.
- Handle issuance and amendments of employee contracts and letters.
- Process employment terminations in compliance with legal requirements.
- Facilitate staff transfers, including documentation and payment follow-ups.
- Register employees with statutory bodies and manage monthly payments.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Manage staff attendance and working hours, including remote work.
- Process staff overtime applications and track hours.
- Ensure proper handling of employee leave applications.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Team Leader.
- Prepare reports related to personnel activities.
- Coordinate HR-led company-wide activities.
- Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Administer payroll and provide relevant data.
- Communicate with government authorities on employment matters.
- Manage disciplinary procedures in accordance with the law.
- Conduct initial orientation for new employees.
Minimum Requirements
A) Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
B) Experience:
- No prior experience required.

- All staff members.

- Recruiting agencies.
- Employer associations.
- Government authorities (NSSF, NHIF, OSHA, WCF, etc.).
