Since 1981, UNDP has been active in Ethiopia, providing strategic support to enhance national capacity and improve development results in poverty reduction, economic growth, democratic governance, and climate-resilient development.
Position: Intern – Communications
| Education: | Enrolled in a postgraduate degree program or in the final year of a first university degree program, or recently graduated with a relevant degree in Communication, Journalism, International Relations, or a related Social Science discipline. |
| Experience: | No professional experience required, but a relevant field of study is necessary. Must be available to work for 6 consecutive months. |
| Language: | Fluency in oral and written English is required. |
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies.
- Support the creation of content for various communication channels.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather information and insights.
- Contribute to the organization of events and outreach activities.
- Help maintain social media presence and manage online communications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Proficiency in copywriting, editing, and proofreading, with attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
- Desirable knowledge of the organization’s sector or field of work.
