UNDP operates in approximately 170 countries, assisting partners in eradicating poverty, reducing inequalities, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It focuses on developing policies, leadership skills, and institutional capabilities to foster sustainable development.
Since 1981, UNDP has been active in Ethiopia, providing strategic support to enhance national capacity and development outcomes in poverty reduction, economic growth, democratic governance, and climate-resilient development.
Position: Intern – Communications
| Education | Enrolled in a postgraduate degree program or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, International Relations, or a related field, or recently graduated. |

| Experience | No professional experience required, but a relevant field of study is preferred. Must be available for 6 months. |
| Language | Fluency in oral and written English is required. |
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies.
- Support the creation of content for various communication channels.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather information and feedback.
- Contribute to the organization of events and outreach activities.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt messages for diverse audiences.
- Attention to detail in copywriting, editing, and proofreading.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal skills for collaboration with various teams.
- Desirable knowledge of the organization’s sector or field.
