Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to regional work planning, operational plans, and budgeting for the project.
  • Support targeted interventions, including training and supervision of outreach services.
  • Integrate breast and cervical cancer programming and ensure timely reporting.
  • Lead day-to-day project implementation at the facility level with R/CHMTs.
  • Promote micro-planning for comprehensive council health planning and program budgeting.
  • Ensure program implementation aligns with national standards sustainably.
  • Provide technical support on program activities and monitor implementation progress.
  • Facilitate tracking and reporting of suspect breast cancer cases.
  • Support quarterly supportive supervision visits and prepare feedback reports.
  • Document project activities and prepare success stories and best practices.
  • Implement program activities in a timely manner while prioritizing tasks.
  • Ensure healthcare providers implement clinical intervention protocols effectively.
  • Manage reports and ensure timely submission of quality reports.
  • Support continuous quality improvement for integrated breast and cervical cancer programs.
  • Ensure proper data collection and reporting procedures are followed.
  • Lead mentorship activities in collaboration with regional technical staff.
  • Promote integration of clinical breast examination and cervical cancer screening.
  • Contribute to the strategic implementation of program activities.
  • Ensure all project activities are conducted as planned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine (MD) or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 6 years of relevant work experience in program management.
  • Ability to coach and mentor technical staff in women’s cancer programs.
  • Strong self-management skills, including adaptability and motivation.
  • Effective communication skills, instilling trust and confidence.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments under pressure.
  • Cooperative, competent, hardworking, and dependable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to inspire teamwork.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with donor-related programs.
  • Experience in implementing early detection of breast cancer services.
