Job Responsibility
- Lead and inspire a team of field agronomists to deliver complex sustainability programs.
- Design, fund, and implement projects focused on climate, social, and economic sustainability.
- Build partnerships with coffee roasters, donors, government agencies, and SUCAFINA colleagues globally.
- Translate technical sustainability work into client-facing narratives and solutions.
- Position Rwanda as a benchmark for sustainable coffee supply chains worldwide.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within an international NGO, foundation, or company working with smallholder value chains.
- Strong agronomy expertise, particularly in farmer extension and regenerative practices.
- Proven track record in project design, fundraising, and donor/client reporting.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in monitoring and evaluation, survey design, and data management.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated project management excellence across multiple projects.
- Comfortable working across cultures and managing concurrent projects.
- Experience in East African coffee or other smallholder crops is a plus.
- Passion for coffee and its farmers.
- Strong networks within sustainability and coffee circles globally.
