Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical lifting operations on site, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with lifting plans, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
- Conduct pre-lift safety checks and risk assessments.
- Inspect and verify lifting equipment, slings, shackles, and rigging gear before use.
- Coordinate with Crane Operators, Riggers, and Engineers for seamless lifting execution.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to permit-to-work systems and lifting procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to rigging teams on safe lifting practices.
- Report any incidents, near misses, or equipment malfunctions to management.
- Maintain proper documentation of lifting activities and equipment inspections.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Focal point for all execution mechanical lifting-related activities at the site; review and advise on non-conformities or improvements.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction as a Lifting Foreman.
- Industry-related qualifications such as ISO/LEEA/EAL/CPA.
- Extensive knowledge of lifting equipment and steel structural design.
- In-depth understanding of mechanical lifting discipline.
- Experience in follow-up method statements, lifting operations plans, and risk assessments.
- Excellent personal organizational skills.
