Job Responsibilities
- Operate Reach Stacker, Forklift, Empty Handler, and other equipment to safely and efficiently receive and load sea containers.
- Load and unload containers onto chassis, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Monitor gauges, inspect products, and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment parts, and report maintenance issues to the Mechanical Engineer-Container Terminal and site supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of container movements, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to company and port safety policies and procedures, demonstrating a high level of safety and process compliance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure efficient handling of containers and products.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize resource use and minimize delays.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity in the terminal.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Port Equipment and Facilities Maintenance Management or a related field.
- Certificate in Mechanical Operator Course.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in equipment operation, preferably in warehouse operations.
- Any Certificate of Safety Training is an advantage.
- A valid driving license.
