Job Responsibilities
- Support EACOP and contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of pipeline and associated facilities.
- Implement and communicate safe work practices on project sites.
- Mentor adherence to project H3SE policies.
- Assist contractors with engineering requirements and procedures.
- Provide technical support for interpreting drawings and solving technical issues.
- Check contractor method statements and work procedures with Field Engineering.
- Coordinate work fronts to meet project schedules and objectives.
- Ensure equipment is maintained, installed, tested, and commissioned per applicable codes and specifications.
- Coordinate inspections and testing with the Site Quality Manager.
- Validate equipment lifting and transportation studies.
- Monitor mechanical site vendors regarding cost, schedule, and performance.
- Facilitate communication between contractors and field engineers.
- Analyze additional work and modifications for solutions.
- Manage work acceptance operations and follow-up on punch lists.
- Ensure documentation validity and traceability in construction records.
- Assist the Pre-op and Commissioning group.
- Review and interpret structural steel drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with site teams for proper steel structure implementation.
- Inspect steel fabrication and erection for quality assurance.
- Conduct structural inspections and issue site reports as needed.
- Provide technical support to construction teams and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree in Technical Diploma or Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification with extensive field experience.
- At least 10 years of greenfield site construction experience in Oil & Gas or Hydrocarbon projects.
- A minimum of 5 years as a Mechanical Superintendent.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical installation and alignment.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ANSI, AWS).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Understanding of construction planning programs and key milestones.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with multicultural contractors.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities.
