| Location: | Dar es Salaam, Tanzania |
| Education: | B.Eng. or equivalent in Engineering |
| Experience: | Minimum 10 years in HVAC engineering for oil and gas projects |
| Working Hours: | Regular visits to vendors and construction sites required |
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage HVAC detailed design activities by vendors and contractors, ensuring proper interface definitions with other disciplines.
- Report critical issues to the Engineering Manager and suggest remedial actions.
- Contribute to project lessons learned and enhance personnel skills.
- Ensure design installations comply with project requirements and local regulations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, along with other specific reports as requested by the Engineering Manager.
- Participate in weekly meetings and coordinate with other disciplines to address HVAC requirements.
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of HVAC detailed design documentation for procurement and construction activities.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests and vendor meetings as necessary.
- Engage in technical meetings to promote cost-saving solutions in HVAC design.
- Report progress and changes to the Engineering Manager and anticipate potential issues.
- Participate in Model Review and Interface Meetings with contractors and teams.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Academic Qualification: B.Eng. or equivalent in a recognized Engineering discipline.
- Professional Experience: At least 10 years of full life cycle experience in HVAC engineering for oil and gas projects, including design of onshore plants.
- Technical Competencies: In-depth knowledge of HVAC engineering activities for similar projects.
- Behavioral Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Added Advantage: Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
