Job Responsibilities
- Safely transport students and staff to and from designated locations on time.
- Adhere to traffic laws, college transport policies, and safety regulations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
- Report any mechanical issues or required maintenance promptly.
- Keep the bus clean, orderly, and in good operating condition.
- Maintain a record of trips, fuel consumption, and mileage.
- Assist students in boarding and alighting safely, especially those with special needs.
- Ensure discipline and safety of passengers during trips.
- Coordinate with the transport officer for schedules and maintenance.
- Respond professionally in case of emergencies or breakdowns.
Applicant Qualifications
- Valid Kenyan PSV Driving License (Class B, C, or D) with an accident-free record.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience, preferably in an academic or institutional environment.
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service.
- Defensive driving certification is an added advantage.
- Ability to read and write in English and Kiswahili.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Punctual, responsible, reliable, and of high integrity.
