Job Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership aligned with MECP-Z’s mandate and AKF’s goals.
- Oversee programme design, delivery, and quality assurance, ensuring community-responsive approaches.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team, promoting a culture of excellence and inclusion.
- Drive resource mobilization and ensure effective financial management and compliance.
- Enhance institutional capacity, manage staff performance, and support organizational growth.
- Build and maintain partnerships with government, donors, and community stakeholders.
- Represent MECP-Z at national, regional, and international levels to influence policy.
- Ensure effective communication in collaboration with AKF.
- Uphold MECP’s values of pluralism, inclusion, and safeguarding in all operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in education, development, international relations, public management, public policy, business administration, or social work.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizations or large teams, with strong leadership and financial oversight skills.
- Experience in building effective partnerships with government and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills for representation in high-level forums.
- Experience working across geographical and cultural boundaries.
- Understanding of the Zanzibar or Tanzanian education landscape is advantageous.
