Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage staff and stock control systems to ensure integrity.
- Ensure compliance with business processes for optimal inventory management.
- Collaborate with departments to analyze stock holdings and minimize risks.
- Work with buyers and vendors to capitalize on purchasing opportunities.
- Oversee purchases of stock and non-stock items, including vendor payments.
- Develop and maintain vendor partnerships.
- Optimize tool store management for consumables and tools.
- Coordinate with finance on stock management projects and governance.
- Prepare management reports as needed.
- Supervise the Stores Team to ensure quality customer service.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment per OHS Act and inventory requirements.
- Control engineering consumable items and manage store assets.
- Lead and motivate team activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in Stores Management, Engineering, or Procurement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- 4 – 7 years of technical mechanical/electrical experience in a leadership role in FMCG.
- Experience in managing a store with a computerized inventory system.
- Knowledge of buying practices and experience as a buyer.
- Certification from the National Board of Materials Management.
