About the Job
Book Now Zambia is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join their dynamic IT team. The role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in software development, eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with senior developers to design, test, and deploy impactful technology solutions.

Basic Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing web and mobile applications.
- Support API development and integration tasks.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems under senior developer guidance.
- Contribute to mobile app development for iOS, Android, and cross-platform frameworks.
- Support cloud infrastructure projects on AWS.
- Write and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with coding best practices and new technologies.
Technical Skills We Value
- Frontend: React, Bootstrap, Figma
- Backend: PHP (Laravel, bare-bone) – Required; Java (Spring Boot); Node.js; Python (Django)
- APIs: REST, GraphQL
- Databases: MySQL, MongoDB
- Mobile: Native iOS & Android, React Native
- Version Control: GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
- Cloud: AWS
You don’t need mastery of all these technologies but must be willing to learn and apply new skills quickly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1 – 2 years’ software development experience (including internships/freelance).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn from senior developers and grow technical expertise.
- Good teamwork and communication abilities.
- Portfolio of projects (e.g., GitHub) is an added advantage.
