About the Job
Namonet Solution Limited is seeking an experienced Fiber Technician to join its team in Western Kenya, covering Kakamega, Kisumu, and Busia. The role involves splicing, installing, and maintaining fiber optic networks to support the company’s growing operations in the region. This is a full-time role for candidates with hands-on experience in fiber network infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Perform fiber optic cable splicing, termination, and testing.
- Operate and maintain splicing machines and related equipment.
- Install, monitor, and maintain fiber infrastructure across project sites.
- Interpret fiber route designs, core assignments, and cable types.
- Conduct OTDR and power meter testing for quality assurance.
- Troubleshoot and repair fiber faults with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with design teams to implement fiber infrastructure layouts.
- Ensure proper documentation of splicing records and test results.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in fiber splicing and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of fiber cores, cable types, and color coding standards.
- Proficiency with splicing machines and fiber testing tools.
- Understanding of fiber network design and maintenance protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
