Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PMO frameworks, methodologies, and standards.
- Align project delivery with organizational strategy.
- Build a project portfolio roadmap to optimize impact and resource use.
- Manage large-scale industrial projects across design, installations, and plant maintenance.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and risks while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Troubleshoot challenges, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and allocate resources effectively.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for seamless execution.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and automation in project delivery.
- Act as the key liaison for senior executives, clients, and stakeholders.
- Control project budgets, contracts (FIDIC, JBCC, GCC, NEC), and financial accountability.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across engineering, procurement, SHEQ, and installation streams.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- B Degree in Electrical Engineering or Project Management (required)
- Master’s degree or PMP/PRINCE2 (advantageous)
- 7–10 years in project engineering/management within industrial projects
- 5 years in plant maintenance/installations & electrical/project design
- Proven experience managing large cross-functional project teams
- 5+ years leadership within a PMO (advantageous)
- Strong project management methodologies
- Contract management expertise (FIDIC/NEC/JBCC/GCC)
- Proficiency in MS Projects, CAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
