Job Responsibility
- Develop a participatory methodology for the strategic planning process.
- Conduct a situational and needs assessment, including an external environment scan and donor funding landscape analysis.
- Guide stakeholder mapping and facilitate consultations with various stakeholders.
- Review and support the development of PHIT’s Organizational Theory of Change.
- Develop strategic goals, objectives, and key result areas with measurable indicators.
- Propose resource mobilization strategies for diversified funding.
- Draft a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning framework aligned with strategic objectives.
- Present a draft strategic plan for stakeholder review and validation.
- Incorporate feedback to produce a final, costed Strategic Plan (2026–2030) with an implementation roadmap.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in strategic planning for NGOs or public health in Tanzania or East Africa.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
- Knowledge of current donor funding trends and local resource mobilization strategies.
- Familiarity with Tanzania’s health sector and NGO operational environment.
- Ability to lead stakeholder-driven processes and deliver high-quality strategic documents.
- Advanced analytical and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to meet agreed timelines.
