Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project-specific monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, including logical frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools in accordance with MdM and donor standards.
- Ensure M&E systems align with donor requirements and organizational standards.
- Support monitoring and analysis of overall program data to track progress against targets and log-frames.
- Write M&E guidelines to establish a sustainable M&E system with support from HQ and the program team.
- Coordinate regular data collection, verification, and analysis to monitor project progress.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Maintain adequate reporting tools, formats, and systems.
- Conduct field visits for data verification and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Ensure data protection and confidentiality.
- Prepare timely and accurate M&E reports for stakeholders.
- Manage a secure central filing system for project-related information.
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices in collaboration with field teams and partners.
- Train project staff and partners on M&E tools and methodologies.
- Provide ongoing technical support to field teams and partners.
- Facilitate learning reviews and reflection sessions to enhance program design and delivery.
- Support the development of feedback mechanisms for community engagement and accountability.
- Collaborate with coordinators, program managers, field staff, and external evaluators.
- Liaise with donors and partners on M&E-related matters.
- Represent MdM in M&E-related meetings and workshops.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: A degree/diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Management, Public Health, or related fields.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Monitoring and Evaluation; at least 3 years in development projects with INGOs or NGOs; experience with key populations and harm reduction programs is advantageous.
- Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; flexibility to adapt to changing requirements; ability to work independently and under pressure; problem-solving and analytical skills; team spirit; ability to supervise and mentor; strong reporting skills; proficiency in MS Office and data management software; fluency in English and Swahili.
