Job Responsibilities

The Lead Trade Marketing – HORECA and Key Accounts is tasked with driving sales growth, enhancing product visibility, and improving customer engagement through effective trade marketing initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing brand strategies and trade marketing activities in HORECA and Key Account channels to increase market share.
  • Evaluating and optimizing promotional efforts to drive growth in Non-Alcoholic Ready-To-Drink (NARTD) segments.
  • Developing tailored activation plans based on market insights and shopper preferences.
  • Ensuring alignment among stakeholders in executing marketing tactics.
  • Improving marketing and brand planning standards in line with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa’s strategic direction.
  • Building relationships with key partners to foster collaboration and growth opportunities.
  • Monitoring performance metrics and providing insights for campaign adjustments.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Commercial, and Brand teams for integrated strategies.
  • Overseeing the development of Point-of-Sale materials to enhance brand presence.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in executing strategic campaigns.
  • Staying updated on industry trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members to build trade marketing capabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Public Relations.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in marketing within the FMCG industry, focusing on trade marketing and category development.
  • Proven experience in executing brand portfolio strategies and managing budgets.
  • Successful track record in launching and managing trade activations and promotional campaigns.
  • Experience in merchandising and product placement across retail channels.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent business acumen with a results-driven mindset.
