Job Responsibilities
The Field Officer will work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator and Country Representative, and will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Project Coordinator in local project implementation.
- Coordinating the distribution of project materials and resources.
- Facilitating contact with beneficiaries and organizing training and awareness campaigns.
- Conducting regular field visits to monitor project progress and assess impact.
- Collecting data, preparing reports, and uploading information to relevant systems.
- Building relationships with village representatives, government authorities, and project partners.
- Addressing challenges and conflicts in the field.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator or Project Assistant.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential qualifications include:
- A university degree or diploma in a relevant field such as:
- Rural community development
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Data collection
- Environmental studies
- At least one year of relevant professional experience as a Field Officer.
- Proficiency in English and Kiswahili, with the ability to draft reports in both languages.
- Strong digital skills, including experience with smartphones and data collection tools.
- A valid driving license for cars and motorcycles.
- Tanzanian citizenship, with preference for candidates from Kongwa District.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Relevant courses or certificates.
- Previous experience with international NGOs and donor-funded projects.
