Responsibilities

• Treat patients living with HIV and/or Tuberculosis according to national clinical management guidelines.
• Diagnose and manage opportunistic infections and refer to appropriate departments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and complete case report forms (CRF), including CTC ½.
• Conduct consultations and ward rounds for patients admitted to various departments.
• Adhere to job descriptions and comply with CDCI, hospital, and government regulations.
• Provide health education and adherence counseling to patients attending CDCI.
• Participate in mandatory meetings and scientific discussions at Ifakara Health Institute.
• Contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of research activities organized by IHI and partners.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the project leader or site director.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
• Certificate of Internship.
• MCT Registration and Retention.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Fluency in both Swahili and English is preferred.
• Strong interest in TB/HIV research.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Professional work ethic and results-oriented approach.
