Responsibilities
- Treat patients living with HIV and/or Tuberculosis according to national clinical management guidelines.
- Diagnose and manage opportunistic infections and refer to appropriate departments as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and complete case report forms (CRF), including CTC ½.
- Conduct consultations and ward rounds for patients admitted to various departments.
- Adhere to job descriptions and comply with CDCI, hospital, and government regulations.
- Provide health education and adherence counseling to patients attending CDCI.
- Participate in mandatory meetings and scientific discussions at Ifakara Health Institute.
- Contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of research activities organized by IHI and partners.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the project leader or site director.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
- Certificate of Internship.
- MCT Registration and Retention.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Fluency in both Swahili and English is preferred.
- Strong interest in TB/HIV research.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Professional work ethic and results-oriented approach.
