The Department of Roads and Transport is responsible for the development and maintenance of transport infrastructure in the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive light and medium vehicles to transport passengers, mail, and official documents.
  • Perform routine checks and report vehicle defects.
  • Complete all required vehicle and goods logbooks.
  • Provide messenger and clerical support services in the office.
  • Collect, deliver, copy, package, scan, bind, and fax documents.
  • Distribute departmental mail daily to various regions and keep accurate delivery records.
  • Ensure proper tracking of all documentation.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (essential).
  • PDP will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good telephone etiquette.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
