Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the primary contact for community-related matters, including village events.
  • Coordinate outreach initiatives, such as training locals in fish farming and organizing visits with local government or community members.
  • Plan and execute community events, stakeholder visits, and environmental awareness campaigns.
  • Document engagements and maintain a database of stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate structured site visits, community feedback sessions, and public communication regarding Tanganyika Blue’s initiatives and impact.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder coordination, or local development.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with local communities and government representatives.
  • Administrative experience in reporting and documentation, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English and Swahili.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, capable of handling sensitive requests professionally.
  • Experience in structured event and program planning, such as fundraising or coordinating visits.
  • Understanding of rural development dynamics, with experience in Kigoma considered an advantage.
  • Interest in sustainable development and the aquaculture industry, aligned with the values of Tanganyika Blue.
