Job Responsibility

  • Establish and maintain long-term client relationships, serving as the primary contact between the bank and customers.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities with existing and potential government and corporate clients to enhance the deposit portfolio and income.
  • Conduct visits to current clients to retain deposits and promote a positive bank image.
  • Quickly address and resolve customer issues, supporting branches in deposit mobilization and cross-selling bank products.
  • Advise customers on product selection and suggest tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Monitor and assess the deposit portfolio, recommending interventions to ensure a balanced mix of deposits.
  • Enhance customer relationship management by organizing and participating in business forums.
  • Provide leads from contractors, suppliers, and government staff to business units.
  • Ensure the bank’s visibility at major events attended by government officials.
  • Conduct quarterly analyses of government business and market share, providing recommendations to management.
  • Increase unit profitability by promoting product usage among customers.
  • Dedicate 80% of time to visiting potential and existing customers for business solicitation and retention.
  • Offer professional financial advisory services to government accounting officers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with branches to understand specific financial needs and develop solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations and proposals to customers and at events.
  • Develop and implement an annual business plan aligned with the bank’s overall strategy.
  • Prepare periodic reports on business trends for decision-making purposes.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or Accountancy.
  • A Master’s degree or certification from professional bodies is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in government and corporate business.
  • Knowledge of bank products and ability to sell based on customer KYC.
  • Understanding of various business sectors, operational environments, competitive structures, industry practices, and regulatory frameworks.
