Job Responsibility
- Provide strategic leadership aligned with MECP-Z’s mandate and AKF’s broader objectives.
- Oversee the design, delivery, and quality assurance of programs, ensuring they are evidence-based and responsive to community needs.
- Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusion.
- Drive resource mobilization efforts while ensuring sound financial management and compliance.
- Enhance institutional capacity, manage staff performance, and promote organizational growth.
- Build and maintain partnerships with government, donors, civil society, and community stakeholders.
- Represent MECP-Z at national, regional, and international levels to influence policy and practice.
- Ensure effective internal and external communications in collaboration with AKF.
- Uphold MECP’s values of pluralism, inclusion, and safeguarding in all operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Education, Development, International Relations, Public Management, Public Policy, Business Administration, or Social Work.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizations or large teams, with strong skills in leadership, strategic planning, staff development, and financial oversight.
- Experience in building effective partnerships with government, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, capable of representing the organization in high-level forums.
- Experience working across geographical and organizational boundaries with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the Zanzibar or Tanzanian education landscape is advantageous.
