Responsibilities
- Prepare materials such as stone, brick, concrete, and mortar for masonry projects.
- Assemble and construct masonry structures, including walls, arches, and columns.
- Finish surfaces of completed structures to achieve desired textures and appearances.
- Perform regular inspections of existing masonry structures to identify needed repairs.
- Repair and restore damaged masonry work.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents during operations.
- Maintain accurate records of masonry work performed.
- Work closely with other personnel to coordinate activities and ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Government trade test in masonry (Artisan Grade 1).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mason in construction or workshop settings.
- Proficiency in laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry units.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of masonry materials, tools, and techniques.
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring and calculating materials.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
