VisionFund Tanzania Microfinance Bank Ltd (VFT MFB), previously known as SEDA, is a rapidly growing microfinance bank with a loan portfolio exceeding TZs. 44 billion and a customer base of over 60,000, including more than 5,000 smallholder farmers. The bank is looking for motivated Tanzanian individuals passionate about economic development to fill this position.

Job Summary

Education: Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Microfinance, or Business Administration
Experience: Relevant experience in data entry and financial information management
Working Hours: Full-time

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Business Centre in daily activities related to data entry in the VFT MFB system.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure that approval documents are available for manual data entry.
  • Supervise and confirm mobile change and ATM requests at the Business Centre.
  • Register bank pay-in slips and issue receipts to clients.
  • Initiate payments and submit them to the Finance department.
  • Prepare all journals.
  • Participate in the branch credit committee and address branch delinquency.
  • Verify customer eligibility for loans using Credit info.
  • Initiate the disbursement process at the branch level and forward it to the credit department.
  • Lead the disbursement process, confirming clients during disbursement and reporting any issues to central processing personnel.
  • Manage payments and petty cash.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate officer or channel for assistance.
  • Mobilize savings and ensure KYC of savings accounts is approved by the Business Centre Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Microfinance, or Business Administration.
  • Understanding of data entry and technology.
  • Strong knowledge of financial information handling.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication and marketing skills, both written and verbal.
