Job Summary

Job Title: Fleet Coordinator
Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in vehicle maintenance and/or related field
Experience: 0-2 Years Related Job Experience
Location: Addis Ababa

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure punctuality and adherence to schedules by transport department employees.
  • Prepare and manage fleet schedules while providing staff education.
  • Respond promptly to transportation requests from various departments.
  • Submit daily transport service reports and monitor fuel usage against services rendered.
  • Oversee vehicle safety, maintenance, and status reporting.
  • Report accidents, provide necessary evidence, and follow up on insurance claims.
  • Develop and manage policies, procedures, and logistics for scheduling, routing, and dispatching.
  • Monitor transportation costs, identify savings, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
  • Collaborate with departments to meet transportation needs, including sample transport and supply distribution.
  • Maintain transportation performance metrics and reports for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy of transportation-related documentation, including air way bills and delivery receipts.
  • Hire, train, and manage transportation staff while overseeing their performance.
  • Act as a liaison with government and non-government entities to streamline operations.
  • Manage visa and entry permit processes for international guests.
  • Handle renewals of company noticeboards and other permits.
  • Supervise maintenance and cleanliness of organizational facilities and equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in vehicle maintenance and/or related field.
  • 0-2 years of related job experience.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations for transportation.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple fleet activities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with a capacity to maintain accurate records.
