Job Responsibilities
- Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders on risk management, internal controls, and governance.
- Present quarterly audit results to National Leadership and local Audit and Risk Committees.
- Supervise a team of Regional Senior Auditors and Regional Auditors.
- Support the development of a five-year risk-based regional internal audit plan.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets for the Regional Audit Team.
- Manage talent initiatives, including recruitment and staff development.
- Ensure quality of internal audit activities within the sub-regional portfolio.
- Collaborate with other assurance providers to develop WVI’s combined assurance model.
- Support investigations of fraud allegations and unethical conduct.
- Drive continuous improvement of the GAA Regional Teams’ performance framework.
- Evaluate and communicate outcomes of engagements to leadership.
- Maintain high ethical standards and improve audit finding remediation processes.
- Assess and drive innovation within the audit team.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or relevant field; MBA is a plus.
- CPA and/or Chartered Financial Accountant or equivalent.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- At least five years of internal or external audit experience, with three years at a managerial level.
- Strong relationship-building skills at the senior level.
- Ability to think strategically and manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
