About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client in the Agribusiness sector, we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced Coffee Operations Supervisor to work in Uganda.
Reporting To: Assistant General Manager (HR/Admin) / General Manager
Location: Kampala/Bushenyi
Role Purpose
Lead the company’s coffee operations end-to-end farmer mobilization, aggregation, processing, quality assurance, compliance, and dispatch to deliver export-grade coffee efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Farmer network & supply: Mobilize and onboard farmers/agents; plan seasonal intake;
strengthen loyalty and delivery consistency.
• Processing operations: Run daily coffee processing (parchment/green); enforce SOPs
for efficiency, safety, and cost control.
• Quality assurance:
o Visual inspection for defects, mold/insect damage.
o Moisture testing and record-keeping; maintain/verify calibration of instruments.
o Cupping to assess flavor/aroma and overall quality; drive corrective actions on non-conformities.
• Compliance & documentation: Maintain complete traceability, sampling, testing,
certifications; ensure UCDA and food-safety (HACCP/ISO 22000) compliance.
• Pest control: Supervise IPM for stores and process areas.
• People & training: Identify gaps; train farmers and staff on quality, food safety, and
handling.
• Reporting: Monthly activity plans, production/quality reports, and progress against
targets.
• Logistics & dispatch: Coordinate third-party inspections, loading, certification, and on-
time dispatch.
Mandatory Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Industrial Engineering, or related.
- 3+ years in coffee operations/quality (wet/dry processing, stores, dispatch).
- Working knowledge of HACCP/ISO 22000; documentation discipline.
- Strong supervision, problem-solving, and communication skills; high attention to detail.
- Valid riding permit (Class A) and willingness to travel to field locations.
Added advantage.
- UCDA certification; CQI Q Grader/Q Processing is an added advantage.
- Runyankore / Rukiga or other local languages are an advantage.
- Excellent computer skills (Excel; ERP experience such as Odoo is a plus).
