Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components of tobacco machinery and equipment.
• Perform routine electrical inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and repair or replace faulty components as needed.
• Oversee the production line during shifts to achieve zero downtime.
• Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation to identify and resolve electrical problems.
• Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
• Upgrade electrical systems to enhance performance, efficiency, and safety.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing electrical work, including lockout/tagout (LOTOTO) procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
• Conduct safety inspections and recommend improvements to mitigate electrical hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities and prepare reports on performance and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering – KNEC.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting abilities.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to work at heights when necessary.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
